Day 86: PLC

Boyfriend Ben observing the view of Eugene.

One of my New Years resolutions is to go to my professor’s office hours more often. So, today I went to see my teacher for my food and literature class. Her office is in the PLC building.  It’s the ugliest, but tallest, building on campus. My boyfriend, who my grandma pointed out doesn’t have a name on this blog, came with me because he’s always wanted to go to the top of this tall building to see the view.  I knew that there is only one window at the end of a long hallway, which would make great back lighting. So, today’s shot seemed pretty obvious. I like how it turned out. The colors are so dreary in the original photo, so I just turned it black and white. I used a low ISO, but in another version of this photo I added grain, and it looks pretty cool, thanks again to Jon Yager’s comments and advice! One of my other New Years resolutions is to take more pictures of people! My goal is at least once a week, so I can tell more stories with photos. But, of course, papers and readings are calling my name, so I better get to work. It seems like that’s all I ever say when school is in session… Thanks for reading!
