A Clothesline Project was taking place on campus today. I walked by it, but I didn’t get a photo opportunity (mostly due to the downpour). I thought that my chances were ruined for a photo, but then I remembered that the “Be That Guy” talk was tonight! It was amazing. S.W.A.T. and some fraternities were sponsoring it. There were a few guest speakers and a S.W.A.T. presentation. There was a lot of role play (S.W.A.T.’s specialty). It was really cool to see the “Bystander effect” in real-life situations. It was engaging and entertaining! It was so great to see Greek Life taking an aggressive stand AGAINST sexual assault!
This presentation was in the biggest classroom on campus. I think the capacity is 510 people, but obviously there weren’t 500 people who attended (probably not even 50). I think it’s a great idea though! I just wish more people had attended!
Seriously, a huge applause to the people who put this on! It’s great to know that there are people willing to “Be That Guy.” There’s a bunch more events going on this week on campus. Check them out on Facebook and RSVP (and actually attend)!
