Day 202: Strength

It’s finally the last day of April!!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow pretty nature photos will return! This is the photo that I wanted to post all month, so I figured I’d save it for last. A photo similar to today’s inspired the whole Sexual Assault Awareness theme this month. Looking back, I’d say my photos have been pretty successful. It was definitely a lot to take on, but I’m glad I did it. I am really glad it’s over because I just couldn’t handle much more of this. I know that this is something I want to continue in the future.

I got to connect with a bunch of other people online and in person. I got to attend events and workshops. I got to get the word out about my blog and my cause to more people through Ethos magazine. I tried out some more portraits and got some photo jobs from the results. It’s something I can put on my resume for working with women’s issues in the future, but most of all it solidifies what I want to do with my future. Anyway, I’ll save you all from the long posts. I’m really looking forward tomorrow’s photo! It will be so, so relaxed.

All struggles are worth the strength they make you find.

Thanks so much to everyone who came by to check my photos out and to all of you who were brave enough to speak out against sexual violence too. I just want everyone to remember that just because the month is over, doesn’t mean that the conversations about sexual violence should end.
